4–– Use of A, An, The

हलों दोस्तों Greatspokenenglish में आपका स्वागत हैं। आज हम बात करेंगे की A , An , The का प्रयोग कहाँ करेंगे।  तो  चलिए शुरू करते हैं।

A ( indefinite article ) - एक - जिस noun का उच्चारण ( क से ज्ञ ) से शुरू होता हैं उसके पहले A का प्रयोग करेंगें । जैसे pen का उच्चारण पेन होता है मतलब प से शुरू होता हैं इसलिए हम A pen लिखेंगें। अब इन सभी को देखें।

An ( indefinite article) - एक - जिस noun का उच्चारण ( अ से अ: ) से शुरू होता हैं उसके पहले An का प्रयोग करेंगें । जैसे elephant का उच्चारण एलीफैंट होता है मतलब ए से शुरू होता है इसलिए हम An elephant लिखेंगें । इन सभी को देखें ।

The ( definite article ) - इसका निश्चित (Definite) Noun के पहले प्रयोग होता है । और इसके अनेक नियम हैं जो हम  एक - एक करके पढ़ेंगे

1- पर्वत श्रेणी (Mountain Range) बड़ी नदि (River), बड़े नहर (Canal) , सागर (Sea), महासागर (Ocean) , खाड़ी (Bay), रेगिस्तान (Desert), द्वीप समूह (Group of Island), प्रसिद्ध इमारत (Famous Building) के नाम से पहले the का प्रयोग करते हैं। जैसे :-

The indian ocean

The ganga

Note : पर्वत शिखरों (Individual peak) के पहले the का प्रयोग नहीं करते है ।

2- जब पूरी जाति या वर्ग (Whole caste or class) का बोध कराते हो तो उनके पहले the का प्रयोग करते है। जैसे :

The dog is a wild animal.

3- धार्मिक पुस्तक (Religious Book) के नाम के पहले the का प्रयोग करते है। जौसे :-

The Gita

The Koran

The Bible.

4- कवि (Poet) या लेखक (Writer) के नाम से पहले the का प्रयोग नहीं करते है। जैसे :-

William Shakespeare

George Bernard Shaw. 

5- चारों दिशाओं के पहले  the  का  प्रयोग करते है। जैसे :-

The East

The South

The West

The North.

6- Proper Noun से पहले Adjective हो तो the का प्रयोग करते है। जैसे :-

The Immortal Gandhi

The Great Bernard Shaw.

7- जहाज (Ship), वायुयान (Aeroplane) और ट्रेन (Train) के नाम से पहले the का प्रयोग करते है। जैसे :-

The INS Vikrant

The Deccan Charter

The Gatimaan Express.

8- समाचार पत्र (Newspaper) के नाम के पहले the का प्रयोग करते है। जैसे :-

The Times of India

The prabhat khabar.

9- All तथा Both के बाद प्राय: (Often) the का प्रयोग करते है।  जैसे : -

All the boys

Both the friends.

10- कुछ मुख़्य ऐतिहासिक घटना (Main Historical Event) के पहले the का प्रयोग करते है। जैसे :-

The First World War

The Independence day

The French Revolution.

11- Surnames से पहले the का प्रयोग करते है। जैसे :-

The Clinton's

The Kumar's.

12- कुछ प्रान्त (Province), देश (Country) तथा भौगोलिक (Geographic) नामों के पहले the का प्रयोग करते है। जैसे :-

The Punjab

The United States of America.

13- कुछ वस्तुओं से पहले जो एक ही होती है उनसे पहले the का प्रयोग करते है। जैसे :-

The sky

The earth

The moon

The sun.

14- जब किसी Adjective के बाद noun न लगा हो, तब उस Adjective के पहले the का प्रयोग करते है। जैसे :-

The rich 

the poor.

15- first, second, third etc के पहले the का प्रयोग करते है। जैसे :-

She was the best teacher of my school. 

The first table of my class was missing.

16- Comparative degree में Adverb की तरह प्रयोग होने पर the का प्रयोग करते है। जैसे :-

The harder 

The faster.

17- जो Proper Noun, Common Noun की तरह प्रयोग होते है, उनसे पहले the का प्रयोग करते है। जैसे :-

Kashmir is the Switzerland of India.

18- किसी देश की भाषा (language) के पहले the का प्रयोग करने पर वह उस देश के नागरिकों का बोध कराती है। जैसे :-

The French 

The Greek.

     जहाँ तक हो सके आप इसे समझे फिर इसका use आप जरूर करे।
